Cynthia Miller, BFA, San Francisco Art Institute, MFA, U. of Arizona): Teaching visual art in Tucson since the 1980s.Represented by Etherton Gallery. Mixed media acrylic painter and book arts collaborator with Chax Press.

Midge Angevine, BA: a founding member of TDS, past Board member, tutor in beginning watercolor, monoprint instructor, and Small Wonders chairperson.

Janice Angevine von Isser, BSN and graduate studies in Scientific Illustration, Univ. of AZ:: TDS Founding Board member, served as Board Secretary and Gallery Chair ; experienced in watercolor, printmaking, and graphic design, and teaches monoprint.

Emilia Arana, M.A. art history, The Univ. of Arizona: has taught Mexican, modern and medieval art history. Teaches abstract painting, and exhibits locally at Conrad Wilde Gallery.

Sharon Brady is an artist of eclectic sensibilities, who uses a variety of media to create her work. Much of her inspiration is drawn from the natural world, including in and around Oracle where she lives. She exhibits nationally and internationally, and teaches art at Central Arizona College.

Dave Brown, BFA, ASU; MFA, painting/drawing,UA: extensive experience in studio, gallery/installation, and framing operations; numerous group and solo painting shows in AZ, OR, and CO.

Mariana Carreras, BFA, MFA, George Washington University: An oil painter who has exhibited in Europe and Latin America, is Lead Art Faculty at PCC Downtown Campus, and often lectures at TMA on a variety of topics related to art.

Jennifer Clarke attended art school in London: an art conservator, oil painter and printmaker; teaches non-toxic printmaking in her studio in Tranekaer, Denmark and is a visiting teaching artist at TDS this fall.

Pat Dolan, BA, MS in Design, Institute of Design, Chicago; certified Spiritual Director, Tacheria School of Spiritual Direction; Artist with 25 years’ experience as adjunct faculty at PCC and Central Arizona College.

Betina Fink, BA, MFA: Oil painter exhibiting and in collections nationally and in Europe. Adult and youth art educator with over 15 years’ experience. TDS Program Coordinator and Instructor, Art of Summer. Teaches oil painting, pastel drawing and color theory at TDS.

Lynn Fleischman, BFA, MFA: A founding member of TDS and now Executive Director; teaches monoprint, linocut, and drawing fundamentals.

Ellen Fountain, BFA, MA: Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society; Recipient, TPAC Fellowship; taught in ACA’s Artist-in-Residence program.

Franceskaa, BA, MFA: art instructor for CA and NV public schools including In-Service Instructor for Art Recertification in NV; signature member of SAWG and CASA, actively exhibiting painting in AZ, NV, and CA.

Brian Garvey, 20+ years experience in comic illustration for Marvel Comics, Disney Comics, D.C. Comics, Darkhorse Comics, and in animation for DreamWorks and Premavision.

Carolyn Gibbs, BFA, Commercial Design, Univ. of AZ: background in psychology and marketing; open studio monitor and past TDS Board member, teaches figure drawing and abstract painting.

Gloria (Jinx) Giffords, BFA, MA, Univ. of AZ: works primarily in oil on canvas and teaches drawing fundamentals; art conservator specializing in oil on canvas and polychrome statuary; art historian specializing in colonial and religious art and architecture of Mexico.

Josh Goldberg, BFA, MA, Asian Studies and Art History, Mich. State: Active Arizona artist and art educator since 1990, exhibiting at UA, Davis Dominguez Gallery, teaches abstract painting.

Susan Johnson, BA, MFA, Art Institute of Chicago: extensive experience teaching figure drawing, painting, and sculpture, including in Italy; represented in many exhibitions and collections, and commissioned works for movies, opera, and public spaces; founder of the All Souls Procession.

Emely McConkey, BS, U of Maryland, MS, U of Minn., Horticulture: experienced in watercolor and pastel; early childhood in Cuba created a fascination with the effects of light on the landscape and on architecture.

Cynthia Miller, BFA, MFA: 20 years’ experience as an adult and youth instructor with TMA and PCC; co-founder of Dinnerware Gallery; extensive experience in book illustration through CHAX Press.

Meredith Milstead, AA, BA, BFA: Univ. of Maryland, Cleveland Art Institute, Univ. of Arizona; painter, drawer, art conservation specialist, and drawing teacher.

Lisa Mishler studied media arts and photography; 20-yr career in interior design; studied with other TDS teachers, signature member of SAWG, regularly exhibits her work regionally and nationally.

Paul Mohr, BS: Studies at UA College of Architecture. With a background in science, he is a figure drawer working in clay, oil, and graphite. He directs the TDS Open Studio Figure Drawing Program. Past TDS Board Treasurer and past President of SAWG.

Judy Nakari, watercolorist for 30+ years; won many local, state, and national watercolor competitions; recent focus on plein-air painting, but also known for flower paintings and portraits; extensive teaching experience in Colorado, Arizona, California, and Tuscany, Italy.

Rebecca Olson, BFA, studio art, Univ. of AZ, additional education in artists’ books and digital arts: coordinates models and Open Studio at TDS; does graphic and web design, illustration, and portrait commissions (see website www.beccart.com).

Karin Malzan Phifer has taught, published, and exhibited internationally since 1989; she has an immense love of negative space.

Linda Poverman, BFA, Post-Bac Art Education, University of Arizona: many years teachingart in the public schools, extended university, working in museums and managing a gallery; exhibited and in collections in Arizona, Massachusetts, California and Minnesota.

Deborah Steinberg, BA, Univ. of Minnesota: oil painter and illustrator; has taught pastel, oil painting, drawing, and portraiture.

Andrew Rush, BFA, MFA, Director and Founder of The Drawing Studio: A former Associate Professor of Art at University of Arizona. Printmaker, sculptor, and drawer.

Gerrie Young, BS, Art Education; MA, Prescott College (in progress); also studied sculpture and printmaking at Cal State U, San Bernadino: Sculptor who exhibits regularly and has taught art and ceramics throughout the US and Japan, including 12 years in Tucson.

Nycha Leia Zenderman, BA, Comp. Lit., UC-Berkeley; painting/drawing study, Art Students League, NY; MFA, painting, NY Academy of Art: focuses on figurative realism using traditional techniques in drawing, oil painting, and printmaking.
